JARGON

A ten piece string orchestra with el.guitar, computer and tapdancer. Led by composer Maurice Horsthuis, this group mixes contemporary composed music with improvisation and best described as 'elastic, not eclectic'.
We are currently working a tapdance suite, 'Hard Shoulder'. Combining tapdance, string orchestra, electronics and video into an inverted roadmovie,.

LS2

Collaboration with guitarplayer & videoartist Ton Mulders, blending audio, visual and performing arts with music. We are currently working on a children's program based on the fable of Cricket and Ant (see video)
Various festivals, including the Electric Weekend Festival in Bergen, Netherlands, and a special commission for a piece for the Aardbei Spinazie Festival in Alkmaar, Netherlands in 2002.

TAPLA

Collaboration with tabla player Achim Heine, Amsterdam, finding a hybrid style incorporating both tapdancing techniques and traditional tabla technique. We use the similarities of both percussion instruments to find common ground, and the differences as inspiration.
